Lucid Dreams was written for the members of the New Downbeat Ensemble. In this work, I sought to depict the rapid change of a lucid dream; how we often experience sudden changes in a dream's location, scenario, as well as to ourselves. It's a through composed work, with musicians/listeners swept into subsequent sections with rapid glissandi and swift mellismas. Through each of these dream episodes, there are also many themes that have several variations throughout; in the same way the protagonist of our dreams (ourselves) can often go through various states of change.
