Voyages for Orchestra is a 10-minute orchestral journey commissioned by and for the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra in celebration of their 20th anniversary season. It was a privilege to compose this work for NPO and sincerely thank the orchestra and donors for the opportunity for its creation.

About the work:
When thinking of how to capture the celebratory nature of such a grand milestone, I began to contemplate the nature/act of "celebrating." You celebrate the milestones in record and gratefulness of how far you've come, but you are also excitedly anxious about what lies in the future.

With this in mind, the work transformed into a series of episodic "voyages," all connected through a system of celebratory melodies and motifs. I wanted to depict the spirit of endurance through vast change over time.
