Aqueous

for 2-Channel Fixed Media (2014)

Aqueous is a short fixed media work that explores the various sounds of water, either by manmade manipulation or by natural occurrences. In the work, I used a mixture of field recordings and other pre-recorded sounds to construct this very wet soundscape. Many of the sounds came from my use of pots and pans, bathroom drains, and other various household items. The water sounds were accompanied by synths to enhance or juxtapose the evolving aquatic textures. The work was constructed and rendered in Reaper software.
